Wild About Wildlife Ice Cream Social a Sweet Success!

Our Wild About Wildlife Plant-Based Ice Cream Social on June 27 at Emerson UU Church was a wonderful success! More than 30 people joined us for an evening of learning, community, and delicious plant-based ice cream that everyone loved.

A special thank you to FARM (Farmed Animal Rights Movement) for sponsoring the ice cream, making it possible for us to serve these tasty treats while encouraging compassionate choices.

We are also deeply grateful to Emerson’s Children and Youth Religious Education (CYRE) program for co-sponsoring the event and helping bring so many children and families together. Their support was instrumental in making the event such a wonderful intergenerational gathering.

One of the evening’s highlights was meeting the amazing wildlife ambassadors from the Wildlife Center of Texas—a kestrel, great horned owl, and caracara—which delighted both children and adults while inspiring a greater appreciation for our wild neighbors.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated Animal Ministry volunteers—Brie, Cindy, Hazel, Paul, and Marilyn—whose enthusiasm and hard work helped make the evening a success.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped create a fun, educational, and meaningful celebration of wildlife and compassionate living!
