About the Film

The Last Pig chronicles the life of a farmer in crisis. After a decade of raising pigs, he can no longer bear what he has come to see as the ultimate act of betrayal.

Set amid the rolling farmland of Upstate New York, the film documents the final year of a small-scale farmer and the pigs under his care. Deeply immersive and beautifully filmed, it offers a poetic portrait of farm life while exploring profound questions about ethics, personal choice, compassion, and the changing landscape of animal agriculture.

Through stunning cinematography and intimate detail, The Last Pig captures the farmer’s personal upheaval as he begins questioning his long-held beliefs and reconsidering the value of every life around him.
