Rain or Shine: A Meaningful Day at Twilight Tails – April 11

Some days test your commitment—and April 11 was one of them. With rain in the forecast and gray skies overhead, it would have been easy to stay home. But that’s not what happened at Twilight Tails.

Instead, 10 dedicated volunteers showed up, ready to get their hands dirty and their hearts full.

From the moment we began, it was clear this was going to be a special day. The rain may have dampened the ground, but it didn’t dampen spirits. If anything, it brought a sense of camaraderie and purpose that made the work even more meaningful.

We rolled up our sleeves and got right to it:

  • Cleaning out the goat pen, making sure our farm friends had a fresh, comfortable space
  • Brushing the horses, giving them care and attention they clearly appreciated
  • Walking the dogs, rain and all—tails wagging every step of the way
  • Socializing the puppies, helping them build confidence and prepare for their future homes
  • And even capturing videos for social media, so more people can see the amazing animals waiting for love

There’s something powerful about doing this kind of work together. It’s not just about the tasks—it’s about connection. Between people, between animals, and between purpose and action.

Despite the weather, there was laughter, teamwork, and that unmistakable feeling that comes from making a difference—even in small, muddy, rain-soaked ways.

By the end of the day, we were tired, a little wet, and incredibly grateful.

To the 10 volunteers who showed up: thank you. You made a real impact—not just on April 11, but on the lives of every animal you touched.

At Twilight Tails, the work doesn’t stop when the weather turns. And thanks to people like you, neither does the love. 🐾
