A Spicy Success: The 4th Annual Chili Cook-off

4th Annual Chili Cook-off Winners (Bob, Jennifer, Megan and Marilyn)

What an incredible evening! Our 4th Annual Chili Cook-off was a huge success, bringing together around 60 attendees for an event full of community, conversation, and seriously good food.

This year’s cookout featured four amazing chili entrants, each one bringing their own unique flavors and creativity to the table. Choosing a winner was no easy task—which is why we are so grateful to our fantastic judges: Demetrius, Jordan, Rev. Scott, and Minh. Thank you for volunteering your time, your thoughtful palates, and your good humor as you tackled the delicious (and difficult!) job of tasting and judging.

A heartfelt thank-you also goes out to everyone who brought wonderful sides and desserts. From hearty accompaniments to sweet treats, the spread truly made the event feel like a feast and reflected the generosity of our community.

And finally, a big round of applause for the amazing cleanup crew who jumped in at the end of the event to help reset the space. Your willingness to lend a hand made all the difference and allowed everyone to head home happy and relaxed.

Cleanup Crew (Diane, Cindy C. and Cindy D.)

Thank you to everyone who attended, cooked, judged, ate, helped, and shared in the joy. We’re already looking forward to next year’s chili cookout—and wondering how it can possibly get any better!
