4th Annual Vegan Chili Cook-off & Potluck

Join us for the 4th Annual Vegan Chili Cook-Off & Potluck on January 10, 2026 — a flavorful celebration hosted by the First UU Climate Action Team and the UU Animal Ministry of Houston!
This year we’re especially excited to announce that one of our official judges will be the renowned Meek from Meek’s Vegan Pizza, bringing expertise, plant-based passion, and Houston culinary cred to the tasting table.
Whether you’re a seasoned plant-based pro or a kitchen creative trying something new, bring your best vegan chili and compete for fabulous prizes, community bragging rights, and the honor of this year’s winning recipe. All chili entries must be 100% plant-based — no meat, dairy, eggs, or animal-derived ingredients — keeping compassion, sustainability, and delicious innovation at the heart of the event.
Not entering chili? You’re still essential! This is a potluck gathering, and we welcome sides, breads, cornbread, and desserts to complete the feast. Attendees are invited to sample, vote, and help crown the chili champion.
Come share community, creativity, and good food — one simmering bowl at a time.
