Be part of history this Sunday, when a UUA President addresses the UU Animal Ministry for the first time!

Dr Sofía Betancourt, UUA president

This year, our beloved annual gathering celebrating the blessing of animals will include not only music, readings, prayers, joys and concerns, and a presentation from our featured guest speaker Rev. Gary Kowalski, but also a brief address from the sitting Unitarian Universalist Association President, Rev. Dr. Sofía Betancourt! We are honored that she will not only bring greetings from the UUA President’s office, but also use the occasion to speak briefly to the significance of recent animal advocacy in our movement.

Our featured presenter, Reverend Gary Kowalski, will explore the myths of East and West that acknowledge and awaken our primal connection with our living neighbors. Animals can take us into the places of deep, authentic joy that come only from knowing we are family, biologically, emotionally, and spiritually akin: belonging together, two-legged and otherwise, in this more-than-human world.

Sunday October 12th at 3 pm CT on Zoom
