The recent catastrophic flooding in the Hill Country has left countless pets homeless, and local rescue groups are overwhelmed trying to meet the surge in need. In times of disaster, the Houston SPCA steps up as a national leader in emergency animal response—rescuing, sheltering, and working tirelessly to reunite lost pets with their families. For someone who has lost everything, being reunited with their beloved pet can bring immeasurable comfort and hope.
Now, the Houston SPCA needs your help.
They are currently caring for a large number of displaced kittens and are urgently seeking foster homes to provide a safe and loving temporary space. All you need is a warm, quiet room—like a spare bedroom—along with food, litter, and a few soft towels. The SPCA will support you every step of the way with resources, guidance, and training.
Becoming a foster is simple:
1. Complete a short online registration
2. Watch a quick training video
3. Schedule a time to pick up your kitten and supplies
You could be the bridge between heartbreak and healing—for a kitten, and maybe for a family too.
