This special evening combines delicious food, myth-busting conversations, and an eye-opening documentary screening. Whether you’re a committed vegan, plant-curious, or simply enjoy good food and company, this event offers something for everyone.
What to Expect
- Plant-Powered Potluck: Bring your favorite plant-based dish to share! Don’t worry if you’re new to vegan cooking—simple options like fruit platters, veggie trays, drinks or store-bought hummus are perfectly welcome.
- Meek’s Vegan Pizza: Thanks to our generous sponsor, Meek’s Vegan Pizza will be providing their celebrated artisanal pies featuring locally-sourced ingredients and creative flavor combinations.
- “Busting Vegan Myths” Talk: Our guest speaker will address common misconceptions about plant-based diets, covering nutrition, protein sources, environmental impact, and practical tips for incorporating more plant foods into your daily routine.
- Documentary Screening: We’ll end the evening with a viewing of “Eating Our Way to Extinction,” a powerful documentary exploring the impact of our food choices on our planet.
